Description

Wine, Waves & Beyond (WW&B) is classic surf and wine event that celebrates the best of San Luis Obispo County. Combining the fun, laid back atmosphere of our wine country and unique surf culture, enjoy five days of unforgettable events evoking the magic of wine and waves. These events take place at numerous scenic venues throughout San Luis Obispo County.

Proceeds benefit GeanSLO (gleanslo.org), Still Frothy (stillfrothy.com) and The Association of Amputee Surfers (AmpSurf.org)

Wednesday, April 29

Big Waves on the Big Screen | Historic Fremont Theatre, SLO

Join us at the historic Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, to kick off this 5-day event with a Surf Movie! Experience is year's featured film "Attractive Distractions" on the big screen, and meet the director Albee Layer. Renowned surf photgrapher Chris Burkard, will be presenting a version of his recent TED talk titled "Passion & Consequence". Doors open at 5:30pm. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.


Thursday, April 30

Central Coast Golf Classic | Historic Fremont Theatre, SLO

The Association of Amputee Surfers (AmpSurf) presents the Central Coast Veterans Golf Classic at Dairy Creek Golf Course. Invitees include Veterans, Active Military, Local Firefighters, Law Enforcement personnel and members of the community. Fundraising proceeds benefit our wounded warriors, active military, disabled veterans and others with disabilities through the efforts of the Association of Amputee.


Friday, May 1

Rabobank’s Barrel to Barrel | The Cliffs Resort, Pismo Beach

The party continues with Rabobank’s Barrel to Barrel grand tasting event held on the ocean front lawn of the Cliffs Resort. This tasting event will feature over 40 local wineries, breweries and restaurants. Enjoy a live performance by Girls + Boys and a sunset to remember. And don’t miss a chance to bid on our Wine, Waves & Beyond themed auction! All proceeds go to support GleanSLO.


Saturday, May 2

Winemaker’s Dinner | Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort, Avila Beach

Eat, drink and celebrate the harvest with GleanSLO at the annual Winemakers Dinner hosted by Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort. Guests will enjoy a selection of Cass Vineyard wines paired with an outstanding five-course, gourmet meal created by the Boutique Hotel Collection culinary team.

Sunday, May 3

StillFrothy’s Longboard Surf Classic | Pismo Beach Pier

Rise and shine on Sunday morning for the 6th Annual Wine, Waves, & Beyond Longboard Contest presented by Still Frothy at the Pismo Beach Pier. Not only will there be men and women’s heats, but a Challenged Athletes and local Winemakers/Brew Masters heat once again. Heats begin at 7am.

Vintage VW Display | Addie Street Parking Lot

Alongside the surf contest, there will be a vintage VW display (Buses, Bugs and More) at the Addie Street parking lot, right next to the beach. The festivities kick-off with a meet & greet followed by a cruise through Pismo Beach and a Vintage VW display and awards ceremony. Come out and support a great cause either as an entrant or spectator.

805 Classic | Addie Street Parking Lot

For those that aren't surfing (and even those who are) be sure to check out the 805 Classic Beach Party featuring a savory Central Coast BBQ, a festive Beer Garden featuring the brews of local favorite Firestone Walker Brewing Company, and a concert on the beach in front of the SeaVenture Resort Beach House.

(A) Yes, valid ID is required for admission to all 21 and over events (21 and over events include; Rabobank's Barrel to Barrel & Winemakers Dinner)

(Q)What should I wear to the events?

(A) Most of the events will be held in outdoor venues, so we recommend wearing sunscreen and a hat for daytime events. For the evening events, we recommend bringing a light sweater or jacket in case it gets chilly

(Q)Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

(A)We accept printed tickets as well as tickets downloaded on your smart phone.
